the box

I first read Mary Oliver’s The Uses of Sorrow in treatment, probably on my way to or from not eating. I turned it over in my head for a couple of years, repeating it like a mantra.

Then one day I woke up, and wrote something about it.

box of darkness is a project about the gifts we find in the shadows.
